Ellen Smitchger Kelly, Associate Broker, has been with Smitchger Realty since February 1992. Raised in Cornwall, Ellen is a graduate of Cornwall Central High School and Albany Medical Center School of Nursing. She is an active member of Saint Thomas Parish in Cornwall. Ellen has served as a St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital Trustee since 2009 and is a member of the Greater Cornwall Chamber of Commerce. She is a member of the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors, Inc., the New York State Association of Realtors, The National Association of Realtors, and Multiple Listing Service. I have worked with Ellen since 2000 and she is super. Knowlegeable, reliable, energetic; I could go on but you get the idea, one superlative after another. I can't image buying or selling property in this area without going to her. In addition to helping me with houses to live in she was very effective at finding renters.All in all a fabulous real estate agent.

What could have been a very stressful process was treated with the highest degree of professionalism and expertise by both Ellen and her office staff at Smitchger Realty. Because of her wealth of knowledge and skill, we had a very positive experience and successful transaction. When we called for advice, Ellen always responded promptly and worked expeditiously and diligently to resolve any issues that arose. Ellen knows the local market very well and has a strong network with other realtors in the area. When you're listing your home, having a lot of foot traffic going through the place where you live can be tough but I found Ellen to be sensitive, patient and flexible about scheduling showings, inspections and other visits. She also was a huge help with all the logistics in the process, including dealing with my firm's relocation company since I was moving in connection with my job. Ellen was the realtor who helped me find my home several years ago. Back then, I had no idea of when I'd be selling it but when that time came, I would not have called anyone else because her service level is so high.

Not only did she find us a home that suited us, she exceeded all our expectations in terms of negotiating, and closing the deal. Her experience in the industry provided us an overall painless transaction. She has an in-depth knowledge of square footage valuations that put us at an advantage in terms of appraising the value of homes on our radar screen.
